Are you ready to take your classroom to the internet? Have you always wanted a webpage but felt overwhelmed by the HTML codes and "geek speak"?  If so, we will navigate you through a FREE website that will allow you to set up your webpage without a school server or tech coordinator.  If you can edit a document, you can create a simple website during this session for FREE!
*Please be sure to know how to access your webmail during this workshop.

SMARTBoard ~ "What's It Good For Anyway?" - Best Practices

The morning's presentation-style session, "What's It Good For Anyway?" will include a multitude of ideas on how to successfully incorporate the SMARTBoard into your classroom. From classroom management tools, to time saving tips, to interactive lesson ideas, this workshop will help you understand the capabilities of this awesome piece of classroom technology beyond being a glorified whiteboard.

This new session style will literally be a "workshop". Join us for a completely hands-on session to work on lessons, classroom management tools, independent learning activities, and games. This is a great workshop for you if you have already been using the SMARTBoard software, attended some of our SMARTBoard training, and are ready to create some exciting activities to use on your SMARTBoard with our assistance. Don't worry; we will also be giving you fresh new ideas and some templates as well! Bring your instructional materials to make the absolute most out of this session!

10 Ways to Get SMARTer - Advanced SMARTBoard

Are you stuck in a rut? Do you feel like your students are less than enthused with your class? We will count them down...10 ways we have integrated technology into our classrooms just to shake things up. These ideas are easy to use and will cost your district little or nothing to implement. Student examples will be shown for a full understanding of how to put tech into your current curriculum and make it exciting for you and your students. Bring us your questions and we will answer them. (We are idea people...not to mention a great mother-daughter team!) Start shaking your lessons up on Monday morning!


Web 2.0 Smackdown
Wednesday - Novemeber 17th

Want to "wrestle" a little with technology in your classroom this year?  Join us for this fast-paced "smackdown" as we go head to head with our favorite free web 2.0 integration tools and ideas.  You'll be able to ask questions about implementing these ideas into YOUR classroom as well as trying them out for yourself.  No sitting on the ropes...get in the technology ring with our new ideas!
*Don't know what web 2.0 means?  Don't worry; you probably use it every day and we will make you an expert quickly.

About our workshops...

Our Recess TEC 2010 Fall Workshops will be hosted through the Regional Office of Education #11. 

Each session can be taken individually, or join us for the entire fall series! Feel free to bring your teaching manuals or other resources to fully integrate technology into your CURRENT curriculum! It doesn't have to be "ONE MORE THING" to teach!
